Yes, we are affiliated with the Mayo Clinic and the University of Central Florida. This includes the opportunity to do away rotations at Mayo Clinic, interact with visiting professors, share educational resources such as “Ask Mayo Expert” and research collaborations.
We only sponsor J1.
Six residents each year.
  • USMLE Step 1: Pass
  • USMLE Step 2: Pass
  • COMLEX Part 1: Pass
  • COMLEX Part 2: Pass
We review each application in its entirety once submitted on ERAS.
Interviews are conducted October-January.
Five years. We do not accept applications from individuals with medical school graduation dates greater than 5 years.

We have a rotating four-day call cycle.

Long Call -> Early Call- > Short Call- > Pre Call.

Long call is from 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

The other call cycles are from 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m

On the floors, we have a graded cap system where interns start with four patients and then slowly work their way up to a maximum of eight patients. Seniors can expect to see a maximum of ten patients on their own and 16 when supervising Interns.

We have ample ancillary services such as phlebotomy, transporters, EKG and radiology technicians which decreases “scut” work to a minimum.
Yes, outside elective opportunities are available.
The hospital has a large patient volume. Thus, residents do not provide coverage for all admitted patients. Our residents cover the patients that are admitted to the teaching floor teams only.
