NCH Marco Urgent Care Receives $4 Million Naming Gift

Naples, FL., January 31, 2024 – NCH is thrilled to announce a $4 million donation made by Pat and Scot Kaufman for the new healthcare facility planned for Marco Island. This transformative gift marks a significant milestone in advancing community healthcare, reflecting the Kaufman’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of our community. Groundbreaking for the Pat and Scot Kaufman Healthcare Center is scheduled for late spring 2024.

Pat Kaufman has served on the Marco Urgent Care Center Board for more than 10 years. The focus of her service has consistently been on securing the best possible healthcare for the people on the island.

“Marco Island is such a unique community—a community that cares about one another,” said Dianna Dohm, the current Board Chair for the Marco Urgent Care. “This is truly demonstrated by the Kaufmans who put their words into action through this most generous donation for which I thank them. Together the Kaufmans and NCH will make sure the residents of Marco Island have the medical services needed to enjoy a healthy life in our slice of paradise.”

“Of those to whom much has been given, much will be expected.” Pat and Scot have used that quote from scripture as a personal mission statement during their 52 years of marriage. “Those words are very important to us because they succinctly state our responsibility to care for one another and for the world around us,” Pat said. “We sincerely hope others feel the same way.”

Once construction begins on the new Pat and Scot Kaufman Healthcare Center, the new facility is expected to open its doors to the public in 12 to 18 months. For information on how you can help bring this project to fruition, please contact Bill Truog at 330.221.8547 or william.truog@nchmd.org.
